Hello, we're EverSo…

We started EverSo in 2009 after making a few sandwiches and smoothies in our shared flat, and selling them to some nice people in a near-by accountancy firm. It turned out that we made a damn-good sandwich. So we started making more, lots more.

In our quest to stop people having to endure soggy sandwiches, frozen sausage rolls and 1980 doileys, we've started making handmade corporate buffets made by chefs using only the finest and most locally sourced ingredients,

This is our story…

2009
One tequila, two tequila…
James and Paul, who met at University in 2003, have one too many tequilas and decide that they should give up their jobs and start making sandwiches and sell them to office workers- after all everyone loves a good sandwich!
How was your weekend…
We quickly get a trolley, fill it with sandwiches and try to sell some. Over the next few months we pushed our beloved little trolley through many offices in Nottingham. Small talk with customers about weekend plans starts to dry up and we decide that the sandwich trolley game isn't for us.
First buffet…
Our high quality sandwiches have not gone unnoticed and we get asked to start supplying buffet lunches for important people in suits. Some industrial cool boxes from Germany, black Welsh slate and good quality ingredients instantly set us apart from the competition.
2010
New home…
With our girlfriends getting a bit miffed that our flat had turned into a sandwich factory we decide now is a good time to move our production operation to a new premises. We find a council unit in Radford (200 yards away from our old Uni house) and spend the next month, whilst not making sandwiches and buffets, building a kitchen and office. EverSo's first proper home is finished and ready for business.
The third wheel joins…
Owen, who was also in University halls with Paul and James, joins the business, which is a blessing as he is the only one who actually knows anything about catering. Owen heads up the kitchen and James instantly takes a week's holiday. We get busy and employ our first member of staff. He soon becomes the most popular person in our company, mainly because he is responsible for washing all the pots. Over the next 3 months we sell hard, cater hard and our little business grows and we can afford to employ 2 chefs to help make the food.
2011
Tea for the queen…
We need a new van as ours breaks when we forget to put anti-freeze in it. We decide to change our brand to black and get a brand new black Vivaro to match. We also bulk buy anti-freeze. A new website and several new contracts with large corporations keeps us busy. We also cater for Royalty as Princess Anne is in town.
It's Christmas…
We start our annual Christmas tradition: The great mince pie giveaway, and give over 3,000 mince pies away to grateful customers.
2012
EverSo HQ…
After 18 months we have outgrown our little production unit and set our sights on something much bigger – 15x bigger to be precise. We move into EverSo HQ where we build a state of the art production kitchen, warehouse and offices. With only 4 members of staff it feels somewhat empty.
2013
Time to expand…
We welcome our first driver to the business, Andy who is still driving for us, and our first office staff, Jade, who does an apprenticeship with us. Chef numbers grow as we expand into Derby, as do the delivery vans – we're up to 3 now. We end the year by winning a large contract at Donnington Park…our ethos of not working weekends is tested.
2014
First press coverage.
We feature in the Nottingham Post under the headline ‘EverSo successful trio started by making sandwiches in shared flat'. Yep, pretty much. We celebrate our 5th birthday by baking a massive 5 cake and hold a charity BBQ where we raise lots of money for one of our charity customers – East Midlands Careers Federation.
2015
Yes chef…
Head chef, Paul, joins the business and takes over the kitchen. New menus launched and more business on board, our staff count reaches the dizzy heights of 20 and we operate 4 vans throughout Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
2016
More catering for Royalty…
This time it's Anne's brother, Andrew. We work closely with one of our corporate clients and open a café in the centre of Nottingham. We also start working alongside a local charity, Lenton community centre.
Today
We are now in our 8th year of trading. A new website, re-brand, 5th van on order and increase in product offerings makes for exciting times.
We are Everso… where lunch means business.
