Yesterday evening we donated a large hot meal to the Lenton based community centre: Tasty Tuesday. The community project has been running for 2 years where a free hot, hearty meal is served at Thomas Helwys Baptist Church, every Tuesday at 6pm.
The project depends entirely on donations and volunteers and makes a real difference to those who reside in the local area and we are really excited to be supporting the project.
Our director Paul Williams said “Nottingham has given myself, James and Owen so much in terms of our University degrees and is also the city where we launched our business. We owe a lot to this City and have a great affinity with Nottingham so it is nice to be able to give something back to the local community”.
The meal our chefs cooked up was 4 large trays of pasta served in a rich tomato and basil sauce with homemade meatballs accompanied by garlic bread. It was a freezing cold January night and it was clear that our hot food was welcomed by the 50+ people that had come for dinner.
We will be supporting Tasty Tuesday every quarter and are looking forward to feeding them all again when we are back there in April.
